Organizing Tips
  • Make your bed every day.  Your home will look more organized and the bedrooms will look "put together".
  • Throw away trash and sell or give away items that clutter your home.

  • When finished with magazines give or throw them away.  When finished with newspapers store a reasonable amount for future projects such as a paper mache pinata.
  • Make a permenant place for coats, hats, gloves, shoes, and KEYS.  Get the family involved in putting these items away when they walk in the door.  They will realize the value of this disciple when they have everything they need when they are rushing out the door in the morning!
  • Wash the dishes and sweep the kitchen floor after every meal.  It is a great household chore to assign to your children.  It will keep your home neat and clean so there will not be stress when the unexpected visitor arrives.
  • Keep a grocery list, household needs list, and a list for errands to be run.  Take the lists when you go out and use your time wisely and with flair by taking care of several list items when you are out.  This will save you time, gas money, and will help you stay organized.
  • Organize the laundry room and teach the family to use a sorting system.
